bevelsider history
The Bevelsider was developed because there was no good way to cut 14 foot (or longer) siding with existing attachments.
- The ends of the boards would sag resulting in thinner pieces of clapboard and the middle of the siding was very thick.
- Combination jigs were full of design compromises. Lengthening them helped. But the clamping systems were destructive influences on expensive blades.
- The controls needed to be on the operator side. They needed to be easy to operate and as simple as possible.
- Angle and thickness changes must be quickly adjustable.
We wanted to invent the perfect device
- The result was that Jon Bateman and Parker Rittgers, both experienced Wood-Mizer owners collaborated on a new idea for a bevel siding attachment that incorporated improved clamping and operating features.
- With heavy duty sub assemblies, and durable powder coat finish, the BevelSider provides years ad years of reliable, trouble free service.
